USA: Second Hindu Temple vandalism in last two weeks

American Hindus are highly concerned after reports of various broken windows and scrawling of word "FEAR" at Kent Hindu Temple wall in Washington State late February 26 night. This was second such incident in recent days in Seattle metropolitan area after scrawling of "GET OUT" on Bothell Hindu Temple was discovered on February 15. In addition, a Hindu grandfather was roughed-up by police in Madison (Alabama) on February six resulting in partial paralysis. These two vandalized temples are about 34 miles apart from each other in Seattle metropolitan area of Washington State.

Hindu Temple Vandalized in the US

A Hindu Temple in the US state of Washington has been vandalized with a hate message spray-painted on its outer walls, mentioning "Get out". From the message it seems more like a racist attack than religious one. The authorities have started investigation into the incident and hopefully the responsible should be arrested soon.

In general the Hindu community has been one of the most peaceful and educated ones in the US as well as in other nations and such an incident is a blot in the face of the US authorities who must come out and hold the responsible persons accountable for their action.

Even the timing of this attack is mischievous as it comes before the Hindu festival of Maha Shivratri.
